On May 13, 2020, Mister Plumber installed a backwater valve on the sewer line. Prior to this, the customer called us to investigate the drain backup problem for his house in North York. Our master licensed plumber checked the main drain with a camera and found large roots that grow inside of a cracked underground clay pipe. We suggested the removal of a portion of the clay pipe, its replacement with a PVC as well as a backwater valve installation. By doing this, we reached a couple goals, such as fixing the broken pipe, the installation of a device in order to prevent a sewage backup and the arrangement of a permit which allows to get a city rebate of $1250. On the picture, the full port backwater valve is installed with a 4” downstream clean-out. Need a professional solution to your old main drain or sewer pipe issue? Call us today.
