Hi there,

We are looking to purchase a property in Toronto. During our home inspection however, it was found that the supply piping to the house is galvanized steel, which our insurance company won’t cover. The home inspector has suggested the cost to upgrade would likely be around $2000 or less. Does this seem like a reasonable amount as an estimate?

The one factor I’m wondering about how you deal with is that the porch is brick, so does this inhibit your ability to dig down to the basement?

Any quotes or inspections you’d be able to provide would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
